The school social worker service is provided by the Church of United Brethren in Christ Social Service Division (CUBC). The social worker will stay in school for two days a week, Mondays and Wednesdays to support teachers, students and parents.
- Identify children and families who are in need to provide appropriate counselling and relevant services;
- Help young children to build up emotional management and social skills, and enhance their physical and socio-emotional development.
- Promote the message of “Protecting Children” so that young children can grow up in a safe and healthy environment;
- Provide emotional support and parenting education for parents, in order to establish a good parent-child relationship and family harmony;
- Contact community groups, and collect resources to support preschool units and families with young children.
